Jamie Reno Claims a Dozen 2012 San Diego Press Club Awards Oct 24th 2012, 17:00 At last night’s 2012 San Diego Press Club Awards, another personal mark of achievement was set by Jamie Reno. The cancer survivor, singer-songwriter and busy journalist officially claimed a record dozen citations, including a record-tying seven first places. Reno won these honors for his work with ESPN.com, KPBS Newsweek/The Daily Beast, newsmax.com and the North County Times. He has been a local Newsweek correspondent for many years and is no stranger to previous San Diego Press Club ceremonies. Patch was also celebrating after last night’s event.
