The CFDA and Vogue Raise $1.7 Million for Sandy Relief

After Sandy hit, the fashion industry–which was pretty hard hit itself–banded together quickly to launch relief efforts. Vogue and the CFDA teamed up to launch the Fashion for Sandy Relief Initiative, which included an online auction (items up for bid included experiences like taking in a runway show with Anna Wintour, having tea with Grace Coddington, and a swim lesson with Ryan Lochte) and a designer sale.

Today the CFDA/Vogue released the results of its fundraising initiative, and we’d say it was quite a success.
